You deserve to live a life that feels good.

I'm here to support you.

You've landed here for a reason.

Sometimes life feels like it's messy and overwhelming, foggy and confusing.

Perhaps disconnected or off-balance. It's natural to feel this way from time to time, but it's the pattern - how often and how long those feelings stick around - that can leave you exhausted.

You are someone who...

  • desires more simplicity - more space in your life for the things you love
  • wants to live life more fully
  • longs to feel more connected - within, with relationships, and with Nature
  • is action-oriented - you know that the best way to make shifts is to get started
  • needs support with where to begin (and how to keep going).

You deserve to live a life that feels good. That's why I'm here.

Hi, I'm Tina Quade. I help others simplify their lives. My vision to is inspire others to curate a life that feels good.

What does it mean to "curate a life that feels good"?

It means identifying the essential, stripping away the excess, and tending what is left over with care and attention.

Mission

I'm on a mission to inspire and support others just like you to live a life that feels good. A life that feels good to you.

I am your source for inspiration, clarity, and action in creating a simpler life - even in the face of a world that keeps speeding up.

I will help you gain clarity about what you want, where you are now and how to close the gap between the two.

I do this through my writing, guidance sessions, workshops, and courses. I'm right along with you - living and breathing the journey to a simpler life with more space to do what truly brings me joy.

Values

WELLNESS • SIMPLICITY • PRESENCE •LOVE

I often get asked, "What are your core desired feelings?" (from Danielle LaPorte), or "What are your guiding words?" Although those shift depending on where am in life, they always circle around my core values of wellness, simplicity, presence, and love. Values are guideposts for how you want to live your life. They are what you aspire for, not necessarily what you have already achieved. Values are what you refer to when you're making choices, big and small, so that you can move closer and closer to a life that feels good.

Wellness || Wellness is a holistic approach to "health". It looks at all of the elements that contribute to how we feel in our lives.

Simplicity || Simplicity allows us to move about life more freely. It gives us the clarity and space to do more of what brings us joy.

Presence || Presence is giving your full attention to the moment. It's an act of choosing what is important and shutting off all of the distractions.

Love || Love is the most powerful emotion we can experience. It's a combination of affection, compassion, kindness, and pleasure towards ourselves, others and things.

Guide

I am here as your guide. Why a guide? Because you already know the answers, you just need someone to help spot the patterns, get clear, and show you other options.

What is a guide? It's...

someone who assists another in their travels through an unfamiliar area;
to accompany another to show points of interest and to explain their meaning or significance.

I come to this work with humble roots and a long, winding road. As a recovering type-A perfectionist with a complicated upbringing and a slew of health issues, I have a treasure trove of empathy.

Emotion researchers generally define empathy as the ability to sense other people’s emotions, coupled with the ability to imagine what someone else might be thinking or feeling.

Like you, sometimes I ...

This little one is who taught me what it means to be a Mother. His kindness inspires me to be a better person.

This little one is who taught me what it means to be a Mother. His kindness inspires me to be a better person.

  • feel like life is at a standstill.
  • feel like I'm going full speed down a mountain only to be faced with deep moguls.
  • question every... single.. thing that I've thought, said, and done.
  • struggle with regret, guilt, fear, and crippling doubt.

All of this while ...

This is me, being present with my second child. She embodies pure joy more than any other person I've ever met.

This is me, being present with my second child. She embodies pure joy more than any other person I've ever met.

  • living with invisible illnesses that took up to 17 years to diagnose
  • having children in the middle of my bachelor's degree, master's degree, and my "MBA" (aka my business)
  • healing childhood wounds and family patterns.

I'm telling you this because I know what it's like to have so many ambitions, but have no idea how to get there.

I know what it feels like to work so much you don't have the energy to clean yourself up before bed.

I know what it's like to feel like you've been thrown under the bus.

I know what it's like to know that there's more to this life, but to have no idea what that looks like.

I know what all of this is like and yet still live a meaningful life that includes family + career + you + ______.

I'm here to support you. To hold space with you.

To help guide you towards a more simplified life so that you can have more time and energy to focus on what's truly important to you.

Sometimes you need some extra support along the way + some ideas of what else might be out there. That's why I call myself a guide.

I've been doing this work since the '80s

After a fateful encounter with an insightful career counsellor early in university, I realized that all of my roles in life had the same thread. Ever since being a little girl with an "old soul" I've been supporting others - teaching, guiding, and coaching them in all areas of life. Whether it was my decades of work in sales and service before returning to university, or my winding path that brought me to study psychology and personal development, or my role as a Mother and the responsibility of raising a new generation of empathic, insightful humans.

All of my life I have gravitated towards supporting others.

The most interesting part? All of my life others have gravitated towards me for help, whether as an ear to listen, a mentor for growth, or a guide for change. In my early days I didn't know how to hold space for this kind of work.

Perfect strangers divulging their deepest secrets. Customers spontaneously crying as they worked through emotions in my presence. Colleagues my senior and junior quietly coming to me for life and career advice. Friends unloading the heavy weight they bore on their shoulders.

But over the years, with a combination of experience, study, and personal growth, I've realized what an honour I have been given. For others to feel safe enough to be vulnerable in my presence is a gift that I no longer take for granted. It's through this ability to be vulnerable that the deepest, most lasting work is done, and I am grateful to help guide others - people like you - on a path to living a life that feels good (at least most of the time).

Graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Honours) was the capstone to all of the time and effort I had put into my studies and improving my physical and mental health. This moment solidified the importance of my thoughts and the power of consistent action.

One of the biggest moments in my life: graduating with my Master of Science in Psychology. Yes, it was an academic accomplishment, but even more so it was a mental + emotional accomplishment of working through fears and self-doubt + balancing the needs of my chronic health conditions with family responsibilities. This was the moment where it all came together - I knew that if I could create a life that felt good, then I wanted to help others do the same.

Experience

I hold bachelor's (honours) and master's degrees of science in Psychology where I studied the impact of stress on cognition and health while on scholarship and fellowship. Essentially what that means is that I am now a recovering type-A perfectionist who, not coincidentally, devoted my academic life to understanding what stress is, how it shows up, and what it does (over the long term). My personal studies in personal development and spirituality have expanded on why we fall into a vortex of stress - of overwhelm and exhaustion - and what to do about it. I also have experience in teaching and training + development within several industries during the last two decades. All of this experience I pull together in Parvanah Wellness and Parvanah Collective so that I can support others in simplifying their life and creating more space for what they want.

Now it's time for some fun facts:

  • I love a bit of coffee everyday. Okay, I'll be honest - I love a lot of coffee. (Don't worry. It's okay. It's part of how I manage my health condition. Really.)

  • I love to feed people. I'm what my Grandma used to call an "intuitive cook".
  • My Myers-Briggs is INFJ (although I dip my toes into the ISFJ side on occasion) and my spirit animal is the owl.
  • In a past life I may have been a jukebox.
  • I have a crush on chocolate, but only the good stuff.
  • I'm a Level 2 Reiki practitioner. What does that mean? In a nutshell it means that I believe deeply in energy and the role that it plays in our experience of life.

What Is Parvanah?

Parvanah Wellness is a sacred space on the internet where inspiration and support are given for those who are looking to make their life more simple. We live in a world that is speeding up. In some ways this is exhilarating and in others it's exhausting. I'm here to help you sift through what is working and what isn't so that you have more time and space to live a life that feels good - to you.

Parvanah Collective is my boutique of soulful luxuries for everyday living. Most of what I offer is handmade with love, care, and attention to detail by me in Victoria, BC. The products that I do not make myself, which are few, are sourced ever so carefully. A product’s meaning and its story in addition to a company’s commitment to the environment are at the top of our requirements for product selection.

Why? Because I firmly believe that how we spend our money says a lot about what we value and what we want to bring into our lives. I want to help you (and us) be a positive light in this way.
